The Animal Health team was stood up earlier this year at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) to provide expertise and support to sector bodies, veterinarians and farmers to improve management of animal health issues present in New Zealand.

Vision:

To improve the health of Aotearoa New Zealand animals by reducing the impact of animal diseases.

We are conducting a short survey to understand farmers’ concerns and needs regarding animal health issues and would greatly appreciate your participation. Responses will help ensure our team is providing useful advice and practical programmes to farmers to tackle animal health issues present in New Zealand. Your response is voluntary and will be kept confidential to the Animal Health team. We will not attribute results to you individually, or report or share any results internally or with any other agencies in a way that will allow you or your business to be identified.

Any contact information collected will be stored in-confidence and managed as per the Privacy Act 2020.

For any questions or to request a copy of any information provided you can contact the Animal Health team at endemic@mpi.govt.nz or the Manager Colin O’Connor at 029 943 1020. More information on How MPI manages your privacy and security can be found on our website.
